National news shouldn’t effect the fundraising of parishes, apostolates, and dioceses if these entities are doing a good job of being financially transparent and responsible. Typically the kind of donors that withhold money from an apostolate in rural North Carolina based on something done in DC or elsewhere were probably not stable donors to begin with… which is to say they didn’t have a strong sense of participating in the mission of the organization.
