This is my on-going commentary on the commentary. I am discussing St. Thomas Aquinas’ commentary on the Our Father, and tying it with the idea of discipline. In many ways, the Our Father represents a kind of asceticism whereby a believer strips away their desires until they conform with the desires of Lord as presented in the Our Father. I also tie in this idea of stripping away with business literature where some argue for focusing on what is essential and the discipline that requires.
